Marine Robotics

On the Marine Robotics Team, we attend two competitions. The first is the MATE ROV Competitions, where we build an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to solve real-world challenges like installing floating solar panels and creating 3D models of coral. We have placed as highly as 8th in the world at MATE. We also build an electric boat for the ASNE PEP competition, racing 2 to 5 miles with a custom-built hull and propulsion system. Additionally, we research ways to make marine robotics more accessible.
